Every Foundurr believes they arrived before the market. This is a kindness they do for themselves. The market was there. It was eating lunch. It did not look up.

Being early is a real thing. It looks like years of being ignored by people who later pretend they were in the room. Being loud is also a real thing. It looks like a thread, a landing page, and a calendar block called “deep work” that is just you rewriting the headline.

Foundurrs prefer loud. Loud has metrics. Impressions. Saves. A stranger in your DMs who said “this is so needed.” Needed by whom? Unclear. Needed enough to screenshot. Not needed enough to pay.

The early-person costume

You can spot it from the parking lot. The costume has three pieces. One: a sentence that begins with “nobody is talking about.” Two: a market that is, in fact, a graveyard of the last twelve people who talked about it. Three: a personal brand that is doing more cardio than the product.

If nobody is talking about it, that is not automatically a compliment. Sometimes nobody is talking about it because it is a worse version of a calendar.

A diagnostic

Ask yourself one question and do not workshop the answer.

If you stopped posting for thirty days, would anything you built still exist in someone else’s life?

If the answer is yes, you might be a founder. If the answer is that the algorithm would miss you, you are a Foundurr. Sit down. Drink water. The market is not late. You are on a microphone.
